getting started

Not sure about this blog thing, but I need one to join beading blog hops . . . so here I am.  Imagine horses and dogs will wander thru here along with my various bead and fiber projects. Who knows what else?

  1. Just started following you. Saw you on the Bead group on facebook. I love horses and dogs, although I don't have my horses anymore. Do have one dog, a Blue Heeler named Cheyenne. She thinks she's a person though, since she doesn't have any horses anymore to round up. She does try to round up the cat and the deer, none of which appreciate it. But it makes for fun times. LOL Can't wait to read more about what you do. Your beadwork is amazing. Love the pottery shards you used/recycled into pendants.

    1. Thanks Kayz,

Sounds to me like both you and and Cheyenne have you priorities right ;-). Sorry you don't have horses any more, they are my first passion. Beading is for when I can't be riding.

  2. That's why I started my blog too. I don't have my horses and cats wander through it though, usually use facebook for that. Maybe I should move them, good idea:)

    1. Anne,

Hear you, right now most of my FB friends are horse people who have no idea I do jewelry. Though my hand dyed wild rags make an appearance from time to time. I am not sure how much I want to blend those two communities. Though there seem to be a fair number of people in both camps. Maybe a chance for a new blog? Saddles and Seed Beads?

  3. I love your free form bead weaving. Beautiful! I do some myself but not nearly as detailed as yours. I find it to be therapeutic though so can easily spend many days in a tray of beads. Welcome to the world of blogging.

    1. Love your work Katherine. Not sure what the difference, if there is any, between fee form peyote and bead weaving. Ahhh, "disappearing into a tray of beads" is the only way I know how to work. And yes it is very therapeutic.
